Refresher Parenting Group Facilitators' training [...*Pre-requisites: 2 Day Foundation AND Parenting Group Facilitators' training]

Training

To book a 'closed' training just for your team, please ring 0121 296 4448 or email solihull.approach@uhb.nhs.uk and we will create a bespoke order form for you. For individuals, please go to 'Book an individual training place'.

To refresh facilitation of the Solihull Approach groups for parents. This includes the 10-week ‘Understanding your child’s behaviour’ group for parents, the antenatal 'Understanding pregnancy, labour, birth and your baby', postnatal 'Understanding your baby' and Postnatal Plus groups. Just make sure you have the right Facilitator’s Manual!

The Facilitators’ Manual for the relevant group is a requirement for both facilitators.

However, if you are training a cohort of facilitators who will not all be running a group at the same time, you may be able to share Facilitator Manuals within a cohort to keep costs down. Please discuss this with the Solihull Approach office.

Example content: Applying the Solihull Approach model to the process of running a group, introduction to the relevant Facilitators' Manual, practising running the activities.

Pre-training knowledge: Attendees must have completed the Solihull Approach 2 Day Foundation Training and the Solihull Approach Parenting Group Facilitator training (evidence will be required when booking this course). For: Practitioners who want a refresh on how to run a Solihull Approach group for parents (0-19 yrs, antenatal, postnatal or postnatal plus). Cost: (Does not include additional resources) Live Virtual (Group) - £879 Live Virtual (Individual) - £98 Face-to-face (Group) - £998 (inclusive apart from resources)
